The adult female is suspected to be last years female, Rahn (b/g 01/A, Wisconsin Power and Light Edgewater Generating Station, Sheboygan, WI), but her bands have not been confirmed. They laid their first egg on 3/30/07 and completed a clutch of 4 (unconfirmed) eggs sometime later.

The adult female is Hercules (b/r *D/W, 1997, City Center, Minneapolis, MN), which was the same female as last year. The adult male’s identity has not been fully confirmed. Last year, his identity was mostly (no photographic proof) confirmed to be Emily (b/g, 5/*E, 2000, WEPCO Oak Creek Power Plant, Oak Creek, WI). This is a male banded and named as a female. As of this writing, the top number “5” has been confirmed. As in previous years, the nesting eyrie is not visible, so we cannot give an egg count. However, copulation was witnessed in March and both adults are coming in and out of a niche on the west side with regularity.
University Hall, UIC
This site has been used for nesting since 1999. The 2007 adult male identification has been confirmed. The adult male is unbanded and suspected to be the same unbanded adult male as 2006. If it is Rosie, this is her 9th year nesting on University Hall. As of April 7th, four eggs had been laid.

St. Michael’s Old Town
This site has been used for nesting since 2005. In March 2007, adult indentification has been confirmed. The adult female was Kelliwatt (b/g 60/D, 2004, J.M. Stuart Power Plant, Aberdeen, OH). The adult male was Hops (b/g 58/M, 2003, Miller Brewery, Milwaukee, WI). On 3/23/07, Kelliwatt laid a single egg. The egg was extremely blood covered and there was an inordinate amount of blood stained on the building ledge by the adult female, Kelli. On 3/24/07 Kelli took off and three birds were observed in flight. Later that day id was confirmed on a new female, Ballistic (b/g 69/C, 2005, Bohn Building, Cleveland, OH) (see Belmont site for further details.) The birds were absent from the site in April. The initial egg laid by Kelli was retrieved on 4/24/07.
NEW SITE for 2007. A pair of peregrines have been seen this year using the ledges on the Field Museum. The ledge thought to be the nest ledge is inaccessible and without an avenue for viewing. Copulation was observed in late March. Current behavior of adults indicates possible hatching. The adult male is unbanded and the female has been identified as far as b/g 73/??.

No reports were given of this pair again until then end of April (2007). Apparently 2 eggs were laid in a gutter and lost during a rainstorm on 4/2/07. Ballistic was reported at the end of March over at St. Michael’s.
